Affiliate disclosure

DIY Needs is free to use. To keep it that way, some links on our site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission. This comes at no extra cost to you.

As an Amazon Associate, DIY Needs earns from qualifying purchases.

We may also take part in affiliate programs run by other retailers and brands, and these may pay us a commission in the same way.

What this means for you

Commissions never affect our calculator results. The math is the same whether or not you buy anything, and you’re always free to buy materials wherever you like, including your local hardware store.

Affiliate links on our pages are marked “Check price”, and each calculator page notes that the links may earn us a commission.
