How many deck tiles do I need?
For interlocking wood, composite and plastic tiles on patios and balconies.

How this is calculated
We divide the area by the size of one tile, add a little extra for cuts along the edges, and round up to full packs.
Interlocking tiles need less extra than regular tile, since most clip together without cutting. 5% is usually plenty.
Can deck tiles go on grass or soil?
Not directly. They need a firm, flat surface like concrete, pavers, or a compacted gravel base.
Do I need edge trims?
They’re optional, but trims make a clean finish and reduce tripping on the raised edge.
